Well got ride via space cabbie and I’m back in action. Note when your riding with make sure you have exact change and an enjoy the blue beetle radio show and a day in the life of Dennis’s day.and marry foster the editor’s daughter. Those are his favorites .
But any way great episodes. Here’s a funny little story I had to explain to my boss who we will (Jake note real name ) about the reason why supergirl was acting like she was in the trailer i had to explain it’s because she’s trying to find her self and she’s in her rebel with out cause phase and that the movie was based on graphic Novel then he got why she was acting that way. (Have you ever had to explain why comic character Acts so differently in a movie to some one ?
Doug, don’t worry about mispronouncing creators’ names. You pronounce mine right and that’s what’s important. 😉
Thanks for the bonus episode on Supergirl’s touching Christmas cameo, a tight focus rather than, say, ‘the whole of Crisis’, is surely easier for the guest. While the Deadman story has enjoyed a lot of attention I’ll take any excuse for some Dr Anj, and it was fun to hear it discussed by two chaps who had never read it.
There were a couple of comments about Supergirl having been out of readers’ minds because it had been four years since she died. Honestly, four years to a comic book reader is nothing. I missed Kara so much and was delighted to see her. I didn’t need her to give her name to know who she was, she was instantly recognisable as Kara.
And how appropriate were her words about doing good even if nobody knew you existed, they went right back to her early days of being Superman secret weapon?
Doug describing the fact no one can really remember the Crisis details as like a drunken night out – genius!.
Bring on the special Ne’erday episode!
Martin, I assure you, it was a complete coincidence that we had these two back-to-back episodes. It must have been fate! You are right, it was a nice palate cleanser to discuss something “small” after talking about the entirety of the Crisis just a couple days earlier.
