[S1E14] Earth-Prime
Welcome to Infinite Earths Guide — your roadmap to the DC Multiverse.
From the iconic worlds of Earth-1 and Earth-2 to the strange, forgotten, and unexpected corners of DC continuity, this podcast is your guide through one of the most expansive fictional universes ever created.
Each episode explores a different Earth, breaking down its history, key characters, defining stories, and how it fits into the larger multiverse. Whether you’re a longtime DC fan or just starting your journey, Infinite Earths Guide makes the complex simple—and the multiverse exciting.
This week, DC Dave visits one of the strangest worlds in DC history: Earth-Prime, the reality where DC Comics exists as a publisher and superheroes are supposedly fictional. From Barry Allen meeting editor Julius Schwartz to the rise of Superboy-Prime, this episode explores the Earth that turned readers themselves into part of the Multiverse.
Join us for the Season One finale of Infinite Earths: A Guide to the DC Multiverse as we visit the world closest to home—and perhaps the most meta destination DC ever created.

Really enjoying this podcast. I heard in the latest episode that season 1 is over. Did you plan to cover all earths that existed before the first Crisis in season 1? If so are Earth-4 and Earth-C not considered part of the canon? Or will these Earths be covered in season 2 of the podcast? Thanks a good for creating a good listen for this old comic book fan
Thanks for listening! I’m glad you’re enjoying the show.
By my count, there are over 250 infinite earths to cover, so we have a long way to go. I’m going to try to break seasons up thematically, so stay tuned. Earth-4, Earth-C (which are two of my favorites) will get coverage. The new season will start soon – just need to give myself a little time to rest and create, and then we’ll be traveling the multiverse once more.
Congratulations on the end of season one, what a gem this show is.
I’ve never really enjoyed Earth Prime stories, what with the conceit being that it’s the world we live on, which we know isn’t true. Maybe if those stories were told in fumetti style…
The big lie was made explicit when we didn’t all cease to exist in 1985.
Also, Ultraa.
Did you read the JLA Earth Prime DC Retroactive issue, and the Atom and Flash DC Comics Presents specials (the Julie Schwartz event, not the classic team-up book)? They’re on the DC app, fun stuff.
Thanks Martin! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it.
I have vague recollections of reading some of those Retroactive issues, but it’s easily been over a decade. And I haven’t ever read the DCCP specials you mentioned. Time to add those to the list!
