Doug Adamson was podcasting before there were pods to cast. Back in 1998 as part of the W-TDC Show covering the Scottish Claymores of the NFL Europe, Doug wrote, performed and produced 11 episodes a year. Of course next to no-one listened back then as it was all dial up and Real Audio recording.

Many years later Doug (2015) was asked to join the longer running HeroTalk (and then Herotalk Rebirth) podcast from James Lundy covering all things geeky culture, this lead to Doug also hosting panels with guests at Edinburgh Comic Cons. The Podcast was famous for the tag line of The Podcast you need subtitles for. As both Doug James and Ian would often lapse into Scottish accents which were thick, particularly when Doug and James reminisced about growing up in Dumfries and competing for collecting comics off the shelf.

While Covid put paid to the HeroTalk Podcast, Doug branched ou to listening to other shows where he first encountered DC Dave before meeting in person in 2023 - in the most Doug way possible. Unplanned in a Publix Car Park (when they were supposed to meet in a planned meeting in a few days).

After appearing on a few international comic podcasts Doug decided he wanted to try and host rather than guest on shows so looking around he found an unwitting patsy in DC Dave and managed get to play on The Monitor Tapes.

Doug lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, with his wife, two kids and supposedly too much LEGO.
